FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Answers To All Your Questions

HOW DO YOU SOCIALIZE YOUR PUPPIES?

As a breeder, we realize that socializing a puppy is critical. It is very important that puppies are properly socialized so that they become well adjusted to their surroundings in any situation. We offer many socialization techniques to enhance your puppies' socialization skills. We go to great lengths to help ensure that your puppy will be well adjusted to their new environment. When you welcome your new puppy they will have received socialization training from sights and sounds to being well adjusted to being around humans and other animals.

WHAT REQUIREMENTS DO YOU HAVE FOR PEOPLE LOOKING TO PURCHASE ONE OF YOUR PUPPIES?

We require that our potential clients aren't just looking for another pet that they won't spend any time with. We never want to send one of our fur babies to a bad home. When you are looking for a new puppy, you aren't just looking for a pet. You are looking for a new family member. It saddens our hearts to know that some breeders send their puppies to terrible homes where they will never truly be loved as all pets should. We strive to place our pups in loving and caring homes so that they will live happily ever after with their forever family.

WHEN WILL I BE ABLE TO TAKE THE PUPPY HOME?

The proper time for a puppy to go to their new home is approximately 8 to 12 weeks of age This allows the puppy time to grow, socialize, and mature with their mother and litter mates. All of our puppies will receive a health inspection at 8 weeks of age. If, for some reason a puppy does not pass the health inspection, that puppy will be held back and treated until it is fully healthy. We will not send a puppy to it's new home if it hasn't passed the state of Florida health inspection. We strive to produce healthy puppies, so that they can spend many healthy and happy years with their forever family.

CAN I MEET THE PARENTS? WHAT ARE THEIR TEMPERAMENTS LIKE?

When you are looking to add a Labrador retriever  to your family it is always a good idea to take a look at the parents. It is most likely that the puppy will have many characteristics of the parents. If you are wanting a specific look or temperament for your new furry friend, look at the parents. Watch how they act around you and other dogs. This can help you expect what your new puppy will be like. Here at Roberts Country Kennels, we strive to produce Labrador Retrievers with great temperaments and personalities suitable for training, hunting, and much more.
